Designing a managed care model for emerging respiratory infectious diseases in the Iranian health care system

Abstract:

Background and Aim: The purpose of this study is to design a model of managed care for emerging respiratory infectious diseases in the Iranian health care system in 1399. Methods: To achieve this goal, first the effective factors and indicators affecting the managed care model for emerging respiratory infectious diseases are identified based on content analysis technique and then these factors and indicators are categorized. Considering that the purpose of this research is a sequential exploratory combination of modeling and instrument making model, designing and compiling a model based on the criteria designed by the model, using the case study research method and semi-structured interviews with 12 experts and professors, leading to the development of criteria The model was researched. Results: Based on the interviews and previous studies, the factors affecting the pattern of managed care for emerging respiratory infectious diseases were identified (divided) and divided into five separate dimensions and divided into 13 categories based on axial coding. In this model, 5 main categories of financing, supply of resources, information and research, service and equipment, as well as government factors were identified as the main categories. Conclusion: In general, it should be said that planning to establish these organizations as a private insurance sector along with the medical sector is inevitable. Therefore, a model that can facilitate the traditional system and lead to the new system is necessary.
